Progressive British Muslims are writing a report on the Sudanese communities of the United Kingdom. Very little is currently known about the Sudanese in the UK, even though there has been a notable Sudanese presence since the early 1960s.

We are exploring the attitude of Sudanese communities towards democracy, human rights and social cohesion. We aim to highlight the positive contribution of the Sudanese in the UK, and also to identify and understand problems where they may exist.
